The Nationalist People’s Coalition headed by tycoon Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. will field its own presidential and vice-presidential candidates in 2010 even as two of his nephews are also aspiring for the presidency.
This was disclosed yesterday by Senator Loren Legarda who rejected the speculation that the NPC was redrawing its political plan and had to cancel a meeting of party leaders yesterday.
Cojuangco’s party was grooming Legarda and Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero to form its presidential tandem. But up to now, the party has not announced who between Legarda and Escudero will be the standard bearer.
